How do I reference a book?

If you are using the Harvard referencing style or the APA referencing system, you will need to include the author’s surname followed by the first initial when you are adding the resource to the reference list. The in-text citation will only need the author’s surname.

Most courses use the Harvard referencing style but it is best to double check with your tutor which style you are using, especially if you are on a course accredited by a university.
